Home News & Events Bramfield House School Achieve Two Prestigious Awards
I’m sure that you will join with us as we celebrate Bramfield House School being recognised and meeting the very high standards required to gain not one, but two nationally recognised Kite Marks of excellence.
Bramfield House has a long tradition of child centred education, with personal development and welfare described at ‘Outstanding’ from Ofsted. Now the school has achieved accolades for excellence in Inclusion and the development of character through education.
Over the last 2 weeks assessors from both the Institute of Character Education and Inclusion Quality Mark have met with staff and students at the school, they’ve taken tours and pored over evidence provided by the Team and concluded that the school meets the exacting
standards for these two prestigious awards.
For both of these Kite Marks the school now joins a national network of schools who provide exceptional education and care.
The Inclusion Quality Mark recognises how well the school understands its pupil’s needs and puts in place effective systems and support to ensure that no child is disadvantaged by their needs. The assessor was bowled over by the precisely inclusive way the school worked and especially the way that each young person was treated as an individual. In conclusion we were told that the assessor couldn’t find a single thing to suggest as an improvement because ‘You’re doing everything you can think of to help young people at the school thrive’.
Our Kite Mark for character education recognises the work the school does to holistically develop young people, develop their character and enable them to grow into responsible citizens. We were told by the assessors that the school is teaming with personality our ‘Bramfield Boy’ program was an exceptional addition to an amazing curriculum offer. We were encouraged to hold seminars with other schools to share our good practice widely.
Although the whole process was gruelling, I’m sure you will join us in celebrating this fantastic achievement, which is down to staff, parents and young people working together to improve the lives of our amazing boys.
